Hi, I’m Olesya – a Ukrainian who went to Germany as an au pair for a year in 2002 to get to know the country and learn the German language, but ended up staying for 13 years. When I integrated and learned to call Germany my home, life gave me a new gift, a second emigration of a lifetime – to Spain. Since the beginning of 2015, I have been running the online marketing agency "Roland Digital & Technology" in the middle of Barcelona as COO together with Manuel, our CEO. I write about emigration and life in Spain on my private blog gute-esser.de.

How I ended up in online marketing
After my two university degrees (Master in Translation in Ukraine and Master in Communication Science at Duisburg-Essen University) I still didn’t know what I want to do in life "when I grow up 😊". So I applied for an internship at a small online marketing agency in Witten to see what this online marketing is all about. The internship was supposed to last 3 months, I stayed right away for the next 10 years. Well, what can I say: marketing turned out to be cool, just my thing. So why keep looking?
10 years SEO experience
Over the past 10 years, I’ve learned a thousand things: from B2B strategies to affiliate marketing, from Google Ads and social media ads to programmatic and influencer marketing. But in my heart I am and remain an SEO – a search engine optimizer. My specialties are fancy content strategies, link building, "quick wins" for websites, onsite optimization. I love to look for errors on the websites (technical, usability, content) and find those. My customers call me "Boinic Eye"!
